Thank you for visiting our website and exploring Erasmus opportunities at the Faculty of Maritime Studies and Transport. The Faculty of Maritime Studies and Transport is situated in Portorož (the word means Port of Roses), along one of the most beautiful bays on the Slovene Adriatic coastline. The town is Slovene biggest tourist resort. It is located about 30 km from Italy and 10 km from the Croatian border. 

The Faculty of Maritime Studies and Transport is a member of the University of Ljubljana, which dates its origins back to the 16th century. It was formally established as an independent institution in 1919. Today the university employs over 5,500 academic staff and has over 50,000 students.

The Faculty of Maritime Studies and Transport is an education and training institution that also engages in scientific and research work predominantly in the fields of maritime studies and transport. In 2010 it celebrated the 50th anniversary of its activity. 


Our Faculty offers first-cycle (professional and academic), second-cycle (professional master’s degree) and third-cycle (doctoral) study programmes.



First-cycle professional study programmes:
